Ino one knows the real truththere are two versions,one he was killed in a plane crashed, 2nd he was captured by russians and died in prison with full knowledge of indian leaders.also some people said they saw him in disguise of saint in various parts of india,

The people in power at that time wanted the nation to believe that he had died in a plane crash, and some people, including NSC's close associates believed that he didnot die in the said plane crash
