Forget citizens of other European countries....the USA does not spare even its own prominent citizens! I am sure you know how Edward Kennedy and Al Gore were treated at the airport when their names appeared on the suspect list.( even though it was an error....the security men let nothing to chance)

1. I am not sure, but probably many Eurpean passport holders may not even need a visa for visiting USA. So there is definitely a firstline difference between Indian visitors and European visitors.
2. Now comes the treatment and discrimination - Indians themselves are highly racist. Forget caste discrimination, look at the way people treat Biharis/ Upites, as if Biharis/ UPItes are second grade citizens. People unashamadely talk about abolishing them from Mumbai through violent or non-violent ways.
3. US treats Indians in much better ways than the supporters of MNS treat Biharis/ UPites.

Look what happened to Shahrukh khan was blown out of proportion. Shahrukh khan wants publicity for his film. When you are in their country you have to listen to their rules. Racism happens everywhere. Its not okay but US is strict about their security after 9/11. We must learn from them.

First we must realise that USA is made up of and by the people of European countries who followed in the wake of the Mayflower, and continued thereafter to go there and build that country from the scratch. They can rightly boast of making USA what it is today i.e. a Super Power in just about 500 years of their history! They have a feeling of camaraderie , good-fellowship, bonhomie and brotherhood. This is further enhanced by all of them being of the same race (White). Where as it is pretty well known that Indians who go there do so to escape the poverty of their Motherland, yearning after a ready made good life of a developed country. They left their house of poverty for the greener pastures of a distant land.
How do you expect USA to treat these 'bhagodaas' (escapists) at par with those who were there in the beginning and whose descendants are there now as a matter of right !
