"Daffodils" (1804)

I wander'd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine ...more

The film song which came into my mind seeing your question on flower is the most romantic song "Mujhe ye phool na de..." from the movie Ghazal, sung by Mohmd Rafi.
There are other songs like, 'Phoolon ke rang se' from the movie "Prem Pujari", 'Baharon phool barsao' from 'Sooraj', 'Kaisi hai ye rut...' from 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Roja jaane man...' from film 'Roja', etc.and the touching song 'Phoolon ka taron ka.." from 'Harerama Harekrishna'.
But above all these songs, the poem which is always in my mind as a tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for saving us and our Mother land,
Chah Nahin Mai SurBala Ke
Gehnon Mein Guntha Jaaon
Chah Nahin Premi Mala Mein
Bindh, Pyari Ko Lalchaon
Chah Nahin Samraton Ke
Shav Par, He Hari Dala Jaaon
Chah Nahin Devon Ke Sar Par ...more

The first that I remember goes back to my childhood & favourite of my siblings too - Phoolon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hai, ek hazaaron mein meri behna hai, saari umar hamein sang rehna hai...

There are a few more which I remember...
~ Bhanware ne khilaya phool PHOOL ko le gaya raj kunwar...
~ PHOOLON ke rang se dil ki kalam se tujhko likhi roz pati, kaise bataaoon kis kis tarah se pal pal mujhe tu satati...
~ Bagh mein KALI khili bagiya mehaki par haye re abhi talak bhanwara nahi aya...
~ Bhanwara bada naadaan hai, bagiyan ka mehmaan hai, phir bhi jaane na, jaane na jaane na, KALIYAN ki muskaan hai...
~ Maine kaha PHOOLON se hanss do to wo khilkhila ke hanss diye, aur ye kaha jeevan hai bhai mere bhai hanssne ke liye...

Flowers, plants, children and pets ... are my favourite PRACTICAL stress busters. In fact I have introduced to some people the fact that Cactus also have flowers, though those flowers don't smell good they showcase a softer side of otherwise rough, tough & c ...more

Hi Rachana, Instnatly, I remember a philosopher`s remark that runs with your statement. He had said, ``God made the country of colorful flowers, man made the town of colorless floors``. How true to the present era of jungle of concrete!! A single blooming flower gives us meaning of life as it represents beauty of the nature that helps us to think on way of our thinking about life. A feather touch to the petal of a rose is quite mesmerizing and holds magic of helping us to forget any kinds of bad feeling rested in our mind for one reason or other. Phool, either in luxurious villa or in an ordinary mudhouse near a thatched cottage is strong enough to create healthy surroundings than any other event. Mere sights of vivid mattress of flowers and sounds of butterflies fluttering their wings to suck the honey are undoubtedly a scene to cherish hours after hours. Flowers have its own pleasures and charms. We enjoy the sight of greenery of fields and pastures and those hundreds specie of flowe ...more

Pholl tumhey bheja hai khat main ....phool nahi mera dil hai ................Woke up one morning half asleep
With all my blankets in a heap
And yellow roses scattered all around
The time was still approaching
For I couldn't stand it anymore
Some marigolds upon my eiderdown

I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain making the garden grow
I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain keeping me good .............by Kaiser Chiefs
