" Complete submission " to Allah
Being adherent of Islam - known as a Muslim, meaning "one who submits (to Allah)" , I believe that Allah revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad Peace be upon him) - Allah's final prophet, and is a MANUAL to HUMAN MACHINE.
To be a real muslim (not only a born muslim) I am confirm The shahadah, " I testify that there is no God but Allah and I testify that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the SLAVE (Messenger) of Allah "
As a Muslim I am supposed to
1) Offer Salah, or ritual prayer, which must be performed five times a day.
2) Zakat, or alms-giving. This is the practice of giving (based on accumulated wealth), and is obligatory for all Muslims who have the wealth (beyond prescribed details). 2.5 5 of this wealth (annually) must be spent to help the poor or needy.
3) Roza or fasting during the month of Ramadan. Muslims must not eat or drink (among other things) from dawn to dusk during this month, and must be mindful of other sins. The fast is to encoura ...more

God expects us to live with heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbour as oneself. God expects us to live and make others also to live in peace, harmony and in a healthy atmosphere.God also expects us to to live the life in a way that it has got it's own purpose and meaning.

I agree with what PAANIWALLA has said but to add more i would like to quote a verse from the glorious Quran (ch:2 vesre:21) which says that "O MANKIND WORSHIP YOUR LORD WHO CREATED YOU AND THOSE BEFORE YOU THAT YOU MAY BECOME RIGHTEOUS"
