This is one of the most popular prayers offered to Lord Ganesha. Ganesha is the God of obstacles. However not many people do not know the following:

When pleased with you, he removes the obstacles from your path when you are on an auspicious undertaking.

On the other hand, when you are on a wrong or harmful mission he creates obstacles so that you fail and are saved!!

It is one of the ways of praying to lord ganesha. when any good deed or auspicious ceremony is performed it is started by chanting the prayers to lord ganesha. it is a way of seeking blessings that all hurdles and hardships should be eliminated and one must be victorious or successful to achieve the desired objectives.
