Result withheld indicates that results for a particular task or exam are withheld due to certain reasons known to the examiners. The person is prevented from viewing or taking his results till all the necessary conditions are fulfilled.

Ur result not displayed, it may be pass or fail, it is for some of internal falts, it may be need documention work , like Zenune cirtificate, miss match roll no. name and etc

This i came to know when my result in ssc with held.
the result is not declared.
but at that time not knowing this i cried a lot.
then after some time may be 2months later the result is given.

The reason told by the board at that time, one particular science paper bundle of one particular exam room is misplaced and tracing that took time. evaluation delaed, about 20people who are in that room a bunch of numbers missiong from the pass or fail but appeared in wihheld colmn.
