FOB stands for Free on Board.This means that the invoice value includes the cost of the material and shipment upto the airport from where the material is being sent.All further costs like freight , insurance etc. are extra and to be borne by the consignee.

It is a commercial term which stands for Free on Board it means that the commodity on consignment is exempted from the duty levied at shipyard or airport
