Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation of India. Actually this was a Credit & Investment Co. Before the Banking sector was opened to Private Players as a part of Economic Reforms initiated by the then Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Some other players to enter banking were HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corp), IDBI (Industrial Development Bank Of India) etc. during the same period.
