The Alaknanda comes down from the Himalayas and meets the Bhagirathi.
The Yamuna is the largest tributary of the Holy Ganga and ends at Sangam in Allahabad.
The Gumti originates and is the most important river of Tripura but most of it flows to Bangladesh and hardly 300 kms approx.
So that leaves the mighty Ganga, the most important and longest flowing river of India.
