The Hindi name for oats is 'jao'. Maida is the highly refined flour of wheat - that is gehu. Some places in the South make maida out of tapioca.

Oats is know as Dalia in hindi I think... Maida is the fine crushed powder from the seeds of Wheat which is commenly known a s GENHU in Hindi.
