Parents would want their children to do well in their lives. Unfortunately in india doing well means becoming a doctor or engineer or getting academic excellence in any field. But i feel that the hobbies and interests of the children must be encouraged by the parents. Just imagine if Sachin Tendulkars dad and mom had told him to stick to the books and become a doctor, then probably only his neighbours would be aware of his existence, now the entire world knows him coz he was allowed to pursue his interest. I am not saying every child would become a sachin, all i am saying is to encourage them

They r much more concerned with our future ease life than giving importance to our hobbies. They r worried and want us to be the best. May be this is the reason.
