A few month after the farewell pilgrimage,Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) fell ill and suffered for several days with head pain and weakness. He succumbed on Monday, June 8, 632, in the city of Medina.

Rabi' al-thani refer to only two Islamic events, viz., On 8th or 10th Rabi' al-Thani, the eleventh Shia Imam, Hasan al-Askari was born.
