Well... GPRS is General Packet Radio Service and WAP is Wireless Application Protocol... GPRS is the essential requirement for sending or receiving MMS through your mobile, but WAP is not necessarily required... It is useful for accessing internet through your mobile...

The full form of WAP is ' WIRELESS APPLICATION PROTOCOL'
The full form of GPRS is ' GENERAL PACKET RADIO SERVICE'
But its not required for the MMS facility, coz MMS has its own setting. Once you can get the setting you will be able to send MMS to anyone of your friend who is having a multimedia handset with a MMS setting else in normal handset the viewer can get only a link with a code, which he/she can watch through a desktop or a laptop by login in that link.
