Today CTC is meaning "Cost To Company" is understood by all. But it was also commonly used to mean different things at different points of time and at different locations. In fifties in Calcutta (now Kolkata), it meant Calcutta Tramways Co. In north Bengal, in tea industry, it means Crush, Tear, Curl. In Chemistry and Chemical Engineering it means, Carbon Tetra Chloride. Also today, there are many abbreviations in the language of todays youngsters particularly in their Computer language. I do remember I overheard some abbreviation sounding like CTC but I do not recall exactly as to what it was.
