CRT is an abbreviation of cathode-ray tube, the technology used in most televisions and computer display screens. TFT is an abbreviation for thin film transistor, a type of LCD flat-panel display screen, It provides the best resolution of all the flat-panel techniques, but it is also the most expensive.

CRT is the older tube technology which u will usually see in TV sets etc... it is bulkier in size high radiation and consumes more power TFT is the newer tech. which is very tin and low in radiation and consumes very less power... need not to tell TFT is much better then CRT as the life of the TFT moniter is approx 10 times more then that of CRT
