I have tried Ulead which I found was pretty good. But it is professional software...if you are looking for editing some home videos, I would recommend Windows Media Editor or Adobe's

Use muvee Autoproducer, Cyberlink Powerdirector or Nero 8 for basic editing and Adobe premier pro, Pinnacle or Sony Vegas for professional editing, but mind u these softwares dont come cheap. If u r looking for free options check out these free online video editing tools

Pinnacle Studio is the best....of course there are some high end softwares as well like Avid Xpress pro....

For beginner, windows movie maker. For intermediate, Ulead Video Studio, and for pro, Adobe Premier 1.5

Arpan, Try FCP (Final Cut Pro). You will find no other software is as good as FCP.
Beleive it.It is an editors suggestion.
