The Hubble Telescope was first launched in April1990 However, NASA scientists discovered several structural flaws, including a fault with the 2.4 m mirror. The Hubble is the only telescope ever designed to be serviced in space. A repair mission was successfully performed by astronauts in December1993. Hubble space telescope is currently orbiting 360 miles above the earth.
