A prominent development that we are witnessing in the international marketing environment of today.it means to "make global" that is world wide.it implies being able to manufacture in the most cost effective way possible anywhere in the world, being able to get raw materials and draw technology and management from the cheapest source anywhere in the world and having the entire world as a market.
it is what we can mean as globalisation.

Globalisation or liberalisation or opening up of the economy as it is more euphemistically called is nothing but the abolishion of trade barriers [ that is customs duty, quota for export etc ] and opening the country for import of foreign goods. The developed nations stand to gain as they can capture the foeign markets with their superior quality products that are produced in fully automated factories [ thereby cutting down the cost of production]. The developing countries lose out in the competition from developed countries, sounding the death bell of the manufacturing sector of the country. It translated to loss of job in the manufacturing sector.
