What is the difference between ICE RAIN and SNOW FALL ?

Ice rain is hail storm and looks like icy stones.. they can break a window glass, if fallen over. ..snow fall is always like flowery flakes, which are very soft, and one can move when snow falling...

When temperatures are freezing and it rains, water droplets gets transformed to ice which we call as ice pellets or hail......and these pellets are hard..and can cause instant destruction...sometimes these pellets weigh in kgs...
whereas snow fall is made up of snow flakes which consists of small ice particles...
