H.CF means Highest Common Factor and L.CM means Lowest common .Multiple but how are both done !!! --------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------- take 12 and 16. the factors or 12 are 1,2,3,4,6. the factors of 16 are 1,2,4,8. the HCF is 4 (the highest number in both lists). the multiples of 12 are 12,24,36,48,60,... the multiples of 16 are 16,32,48,64,80,... the LCM is 48 (the lowest number in both lists).
