A tour is a trip with visits to various places of interest for business, pleasure, or instruction.
A travel is to go from one place to another, as on a trip; journey.

Excursion with a group, Tour is visiting several places, Travel alone or with friends.

Excursions are expected to be short and for pleasure, But in tour & travel, there are certain stringed factors like taste of discovery, endurance and learning. The duration is longer than excursion.

Excursion is a short journey or outing in a group....Tour is visiting places and things of interest or giving performance or it may be on official duty....and Travel is going from one place into another just for the sake of self interest or sometimes as salesman
