I think you are asking about cannibals , Canniobalism existed in various parts of the world. In polynasia it was observed and ritual sacrifices involved human sacrifince. Dyke tribe in Papua new gini eat brain of dead relatives.
In China cannibalism was observed during various famines last was in 1960 when china was under severe famine due to Maos great leap forward.
Japanes soldiers observed cannibalism in WW2 and it is well recorded in testamony of Sikh soldiers of British Indian Army who were PoW in WW2
