Will make some noises and then allow the whole issue to drift. Nothing will happen.

What has UN really done in the past? Massacres had been there in Iraq. And UN did not react at all when the operation was going on. The common Tamil civilians (around 20,000 according to unofficial sources) have already lost their lives. I do not expect anything.

LTTE are not civilians, it's a srilankan separatist terrorist organisation. UN chief has already visited Srilanka and took first hand survey. Only UK making noise because they are the main funding agency of LTTE who believe in devide and rue policy but their policies are now shunned by Obama. Devoid of support UK will be singularly outnumbered and protest will die down natural death. Now it's the responsibility of UN to provide breathing space for Lankan govt for upliftment of Tamils and Tamil areas at par with local buddhist population.
