I don't think Pakistan is poised to "gain" from international situations materially as Pak itself faces a caste system war on its own home. In Pak it is not so much Hindu Vs Muslim, but more Baloch Vs Sindhi, etc. Balochis in Pakistan either favour integrating w/ Iran or forming their own homeland, and accuse Sindhi Pakistanis of imperialism and India supports the Baloch freedom movement- Akbar Bugti was our favourate poster boy etc etc....

In Pakistan even along religious lines u have conflict in sense that on 1 end u have indegenous South Asian Muslims who r more Sufi oriented clashing w/ more puritanical Wahabi Muslims who draw influence from Saudi.

THe traditional Pakistani Islamic circle always clashes w/ Islamic circles from Saudi for dominance, and bombs end up being planted in places of worship etc....
