Two simple procedures - 1. First gargle with hot saline solution(salt water) containing 1 powdered dispirin (or aspirin tablet) and 2. Applying iodine swab over the throat region. (even swallowing bit iodine solution in the process is harmless). One gets immediate relief. Minimise talking during the infection.
