It would be sitting posture so that the eyes could be horizontal and the book just opposite tot he eyes at a distance of 18" for an adult.( Two jaans,ie, the distance covered by the fingers of one's hand when the thumb and little fingers are stretched almost horizontally in opposite directions) Any other distance and angle of incidence will affect the eyes.
Any other position, like lying in the bed while reading will not and could not be retained fully in the memory cells.

According to physics n health ortho specialists sitting position is the best with minimum 25" distance(lowest distance for vision in physics).

But i cant do this.Sometimes i have to read books for 10 hours a day which isnt possible in same posture.I prefer any position which can be comfortable for me at that time.Be is it stretching down on the bed, lying down on bed with crossed legs or just sitting on the bed with comfort of pillows around.
