What is that stone called "Pushparagam" in Tamil?

In Tamil, it is called Pushparagam only. There is one more variety called "Kanaka Pushparagam" which is yellow in shade and considered for wearing for propitiating Guru or Jupiter. This is actually a yellow citrine. I don't know whether the stone called Pokhraj in northern India is the same as Kanak Pushparagam. Pokhraj is yellow Topaz. Topaz is also a basic stone variety. Topaz has hardness of about 8.0 in MOH's scale. It is also a bit expensive. Similarly yellow sapphire with Moh value of 9 (Corrundum family) is also expensive. Hence, I think pushparagam must be white quartz with 7 mohs.
