The Price of living in a society oriented system ! An inherited burden of our past herd life! In an individual oriented system, each individual can pursue his spirituality individually and yet be part of a heterogeneous and unified whole HUMANITY !

Allah says in the Quran: And if your Lord had pleased He would certainly have made people a single nation, but they shall continue to differ. Sura Hud (11) verse 118 A divine revelation which inaugurates a religion as such is - what in modern speaking might be called - a package. It\'s a coherent pattern, an organic whole, in which each part fits precisely with any other part and in which all the parts are interdependant.

This is why, you cannot take the best parts of each religion and combine them in some sort of super-faith. Moral laws differ, though less than many people suppose, between the religions, but these laws always make perfect sense in the context of the basic doctrines, the theology and cosmology of the faith to which they relate.

God wills variety, because His infinite richness cannot be fully reflected in any earthly pattern. - How could it be, given His infinity and our limitations?

We don\'t need to ask how these differences can be reconciled, we are finite ...more

Dear Jagdeep ,
The Quran and other divine scriptures testify this verity that humanity is the core message of prophecy. Some non-believers maintain that religion is the apple of discord. But is it not the minds inability to understand and the selfish and greedy passions that cause the discord, not the Truth given by God through the prophets? The prophets rendered great sacrifices. John was beheaded with a saw. Jesus Christ was tortured , Muhammad was teased and attacked. Thy tyrants and tribal chiefs troubled him, but the prophets tolerated all trials, for God and humanity. Humanity is the message of all religions
The Holy Quran expressly declares that the human race is one family. All of us are the children of Adam and Eve, whether our skin is white or black. At various places it says: All human beings are a single nation (2:213). All human beings are naught but a single nation and yet they disagree (10:19). And verily this your nation (human beings) is a single nation (21: ...more

Humanity can come into a person only if he/she is a believer of Almighty God. Without Him, humanity is a zilch. So who is more human, ie going all out to help others? If you look ( forget the world) in India itself, you will see who gives maximum help to the needy, without looking in their religion, ( now the question comes and a political one and that is conversion). Are the help givers really converting people to their faith? I being from Goa, find many non Christians studing in Christian schools, and never for an instant found any one converted. So you can check the records and see why the recognization goes on religion.

A religion is nothing but belief in God. Every body has his own understanding of God and hence the faith an individual holds is different than others. Naturally this will raise conflicts in people\'s mind and lead to clash in beliefs. If we understand the message and grasp from what each of the religion says then we will be astonished to know that they all teach same lessons of humanitarian values. Still people want to fight over petty things. To avoid such confusions there should be clear agreement and understanding of God between people. That\'s why in Holy Quran Allah says to come to common terms between different people as to proclaim that God is One and there\'s no second.
