It is the most beautiful grave monument in the world.
The interior was in laid with precious stone such as Diamonds, Topaz, Rubies etc.
These were removed by the British along with other art effect
At one point the terraces of the this burial place was used as a dancing are. again by the British, with no respect of the persons lying in sleep there.
The Taj was supposed to be cut in small slices and brought to UK to be sold as marble for the buildings . and the foundations were to dug up and re planted at the bank of river Thames, with the TAJ rebuilt from brick to replace the marble
A sample of the marble was sent to UK but it failed to attract any buyers, which turned out to be a good news for the indians otherwise the monument would have been destroyed. for ever.
To-day Taj is the highest earning tourist attraction in India.
