Computer hacking may seem like a cool thing to do. Theyve made movies where a hacker is the good guy so it must be true, right? WRONG. Computer hacking is a serious crime that violates other peoples privacy and can get you in loads of trouble if you are ever caught. Being the victim of a computer hacker is one of the worst feelings. Its like coming home and finding out that someone has been prowling through your house. It leaves you feeling violated and unprotected. If it happened once, it can happen again. At some point you have to ask yourself how do I protect my computer from hackers on the Internet?

A firewall can prevent intruders from breaking into your computer via the Internet or a network. Hackers can break into your computer because computers on any kind of network can recognize, or 'see"' another computer. Firewalls basically hide your computer and keep it from being seen. You can buy a firewall software or get a free firewall online. Since it is a program that constantly runs, it takes up RAM and can slow down a computer"s performance.

Avast, offers a very good free anti-virus software that can help you consolidate your virus's and prevent them from happening again.

Also, make sure you have your firewall always turned on. Also, consider what you're doing on the Internet. Maybe you should be more carefully. Always remember t never input real information online, especially when you suspect that your system may be compromised.
