Dear Laxmijee, youa sked a beutiful question which could be answered from Google very easily but I wont do that .. I will answer it in a simple way ...

Raag Bhairavi - is a hindustani classical Raga .. with complete octave - seven notes - based on Bhairavi Thaat . the used notes in this raga are S r g M P d n S ( small letters denote to flat notes or komal swar ) komal swar is freqency wise smaller than the Natural notes .The color of the raga comes well in the morning . In hindustani music we have ten that (parent scales) its one moang them .

Its vadi swar is Madhyam and samvadi Sadj - Madhyam represents Sringer // beauty and this is why bhairavi is the best raga for Thumri .
Being a sampuran jati and simple raga artists enojy performing as they wish . every raga has follow its principle . certain phrases and movemnet of notes differentiate a raga from other but In Bhairavi an artist can apply or take twelve notes from the octave and beautify it to any extent .

Raga Bhairavi is an ancient raga, originating about one thousand five hundred years ago. It is the main raga of Bhairavi Thaat. It is generally the final piece in a performance and as such an early morning raga.

Bhairavi is also called an evergreen raga, since there are innumerable ways to perform the raga. Most of the artists add vivadis (grace notes), to embellish the flavor of the raga. Most of the famous songs sung by KL Saigal are in this raga.
