All the people answering this question have not yet gone to ranikhet.
my father was in army so i got a chance to go around all hill station. all hill station have some or other advantages like in ooty you can go any time of the year, horse races toy train, shimila and shrinagar for its snow as no hill station will be compleat without its snow. but the best hill station is Ranikhet.
as is a military station it have a contonement management and no unwanted construction is allowed. so it still the british charme to it.
only place in india from where you can see 500 km of snow peek from one place and see the colour change from red in morning to orange in evening
