I think all of us are very concerned about the state of scams and corruption in the country and we would not just like to share the concern but would also like to offer help. We we could have a centre for research in Delhi. What are the critical areas in say electoral reforms that would make a substantive difference. We could hold a dialogue for it. Its a long term offer that we want to make... we do not want to remain passive critics.
Since we dont have a dictatorship in India I do not expect one person to have the magic formula. I think there has to be a will of the political system to bring about a change and I dont see that in any political party. I find they are willing to make little changes that look good but they are never there to bring about a big change. The demand of the people gets accelerated after all these scams. Under the current system it seems only a small percentage of people can be honest. For instance if I want a RTO license I have to wait for two days or pay a ...more
