Anyone who doesn't believe in what I believe in, NATURALLY!
Seriously though, while we each have personal standards for what is right and wrong, we also carry with us a cloud of concepts our upbringing, our schools, our jobs, that together tell us what is acceptable and what is not. We are more likely to react negatively, perhaps even be genuinely offended, to ideas and concepts outside of our our collective standards of normal.
Today we work on global teams. Even though we have common views and terminology (thanks to common media experiences: world news reports, movies, music, etc.), we also have different backgrounds and culture. For example, I had a sales team that took potential clients to see a new facility in India. The facility had an opening ceremony and invited the clients. As part of the ceremony, there was a beautiful arrangement of flowers and candles in the entrance, in the form of Ganesha's Thunderbolt.
