The Mysore silk sarees manufactured are of unmatched quality come in varieties to suit the customer tastes viz: Crepe-de-chine, Georgette, Zari printed crepe silk sarees, semi crepe sarees. The sarees are printed or dyed. The sareess come in a splash of over 100 different colors and any no. of design combinations.

Every Kancheepuram silk Saree is amongst the most superior silks in the world. Thanks to its double warp and double weft. Besides which, the gold in the motifs is incorporated by dipping the silk thread into liquid gold and silver. This enhances the beauty and the value of the silk. (Kancheepuram Sarees are also known as Kanchipuram and Kancheevaram and sometimes Kanchivaram Sarees!)

Mysore silk is 100% pure silk fabrics, blended with 100% pure gold zari {65% of silver and 0.65 % of gold} in crepe-de-chine and georgette varieties(texture)

The Kanchipuram Silk Saree is hand-woven with dyed silk yarn with interleaved designs made with 'Zari' - a Silk thread twisted with a thin Silver wire and then gilded with pure Gold. Technically, the silk thread used for weaving Kanchipuram Sarees is made up of three single threads twisted together.Woven from pure mulberry silk and have an enviable reputation for texture, lustre, durability and finish.

In days gone by they have been worn by Maharanis, wives of Zamindars, nobles and other affluent people.

A Kancheepuram sari speaks for itself and has been treasured for millennia. In south India, a mother gifted at least one of her own kanchi saris to her daughter tradition highly valued by the daughters.

Thanks to synthetic fibres and hundreds of mills churning out saris by the mile, one really does not know whether one is getting a real Kancheepuram at all. The truth is that Kancheepuram saris are now duplicated in Aarni and other parts of Tamilnadu and mass produced in Dharmavaram (AP) And Surprise surprise! Kancheepuram silk saris a ...more
