At the time when we got the independence, travancore, malabar and other territories which were under the rule of the kings were annexed to the union of India and the temples of these region were under the control of their respective kings and along with the land and its belongings, the temples also came under govt control.
You will see that other new temples which were later constructed by organisations or individuals do not come under the devaswom.
It is high time that the various Hindu organisations joined together to get back what belongs to them.
Now another unfortunate thing is that the state is under communist rule who do not believe in God (On their election to the assembly, they do not pronounce the oath in the name of God) and the devaswom and the temples are being ruled by a non-believer!

Then who will please the minority vote banks?

Others are (minority) vote banks and Hindu temples are Note banks.

Can't say anything about that but it's really sad.

Only China can do this.

In my opinion the Govt. should take control of all the sacred places like temples, churches and mosques so that its mis use can be controlled.
