A quorum is the minimum number of members in an organization that are required to b present in order to conduct business. For example, a club might require a quorum in order to take a vote about an important matter.

Quorum is the minimum number of members required to be present in the house b4 it can transact any business.
it iis one-tenth of the total number of memebers in each house including the presiding
officers. it means that there must be at least 55 members present in lok sabha and 25
members in the rajya sabha., if any business s to be conducted . if there is no quorum during a meeting of the house,
it is duty of the presiding officer either to adjourn the house or to suspend the meeting until there is quorum
