Very good indicated high quality but not obvious.
Best: Having good qualities in the highest degree.
Excellent is possessing outstanding quality or superior merit.
Perfect is conforming absolutely to the description.

the best--means the best thing till now that he/she has seen
excellent--means regarding a performance, in comparison to others
perfect-means flawless
