Ignore the "third" dimension and just consider the first two.... if all you had was length and width, with no depth, then time would pass like a film strip.... frame by frame instead of cube by cube.... the 4th dimesnion becomes a series of frames passing at a rate of at least 32 per second to give the illusion of smooth motion.

How would time look "in" the fourth dimension? Picture all the frames standing up vertically from the film and you looking "down the row" through the length of all of them.... for a simple scene, just a ball in motion, it would appear to be a streak or a snake, cause you can see every one of its positions through the course of its motion. For a complex scene evrything would just be a blur of overlapping edges.
