Brahma Purana is considered to be the most important of all the Puranas. Brahma Purana mainly focuses on Lord Brahmas worship, includes a number of different stories and talks about various different subjects. Lord Krishna is considered to be similar to Lord Brahma in the Brahma Purana. His whole character and life has been described in the Brahma Purana.

Brahma Purana talks about the whole universe and its components. Since Lord Brahma is also known as Aadi (Origin), Brahma Purana is also known as Aadi Purana. There are ten Sholkas in the beginning of Brahma Purana. In ancient times, Saint Vrind heard this Purana from Soot muni who was with Vyas muni at that time.
