They say anything bought on Akshaya Tritiya is never lost... It is Akshaya.. that is why... people buy gold, or property , because they are symbols of prosperity.

Akshay Tritiya is one of the \"Auspicious day\" amongst 3 & 1/2 Auspicious day\", since many of us are mythologists people we buy gold. Becuase gold is as good as cash and has good returns also.
