The combination chemotherapy regimen known as ABVD consists of the following drugs:
Adriamycin (doxorubicin)
Bleomycin
Vinblastine
Dacarbazine
Almost since it was first established in 1975, the ABVD regimen has been considered the 'gold standard' for the treatment of virtually all stages of Hodgkins lymphoma (especially early-stages) and it is currently regarded as such by highly influential guideline-setting groups including the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the German Hodgkins Study Group, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
