Son of my friend in Dehradun went to see the girl in her house - he had marriage proposal from the family and was requested to visit them. She gave her a sheepish smile.
This explains.

I think it pertais to kind of smile showing or feeling embarrassment especially because you have done something foolish or wrong.

But instant feeling is sheeps smile only for greenery.
For human, may be scheming is sheepish smile.
