I am for privatization. It will bring more professionalism into the management thus significantly improving the operational efficiency of Air India.

Not sure chief. This should be taken as an exercise to find a solution to get sick PSU's going healthy. PSU are necessary in economy. Economy w/o that check in developing country's will lead to hyperinflated prices in the long run , it's 100% proven.

AIrline travel is a small % of natl. aviation, I am thinking in terms of LOGISTICS. Railways profits many from logistical transport. Having a national sector available at least 4 future use in this department is extremely vital?

Thing w/ PSU's is that

1. Work drive is not encouraged
2. Mechanization is encouraged
3. Performance based perk not encouraged, seniority based perk encouraged.

We be w/ you for 17 yrs and done many good jobs" a ...more
