Had India not been partitioned, the Bengalis would be the single major state in the country and authority of Hindi would have been challenged. Kolkata could be the Capital city, much better poised as present day Delhi, which is within the reach of Pakistani missiles. The Prime ministers would have hailed from Bengal as is now seen enjoyed by the state of Uttor Pradesh. Had India not been partitioned, crores of people won't be refugees leaving behind them happy lives. The same could be true with Punjab also. The defence expenditures could be reduced to great extent and our bilateral issues with neighbouring countries could be lot easier and China would have treated us as a respectful mighty neighbour.

That would have been most unfortunate. Those people have pressed the self destruct button for them self. If we would have been with them they would have dragged us down the drain along with them
