If the gas is supplied more energy electrical the electrons move with high Kinetic Energy triggering the ionization Breaking the binding energy of electrons from atoms or molecules and secondary emission of electrons very quickly. This sudden increase in the multiplication of free electrons is called Avalanche multiplication
