Sannyas is not taking up an oragne cloth and living a careless life. Sannyas is not living a life free from responsibility. Sannyas is not running away from the world. Sannyas is not an easy ride.Living a life of sannyas takes tremendous courage. Sannyas is living with the courage to stand up for truth. Sannyas is living beyond mind and the limitations of social structure. We usually like to judge those who dont conform to the rules of society. We judge sannyas. We do this is out of fear. Fear of our very own freedom to live and be alive. Choosing sannyas is being truly alive. Know that just because you are breathing does not mean that you are alive. Just think about this for a moment..a sannyasin has taken up to courage to stand for truth in every moment. Even the trying moments. The life of sannyas gives fulfilment.

Sanyas means " whenever a cricketer leaves international cricket , like recently Rahul dravid a nd vvs laxman did , we say that he has retired from all forms of international cricket or in hindi , we say , he has taken "sanyas" from all forms of int. crkt. So, sanyas is "retirement" from something.
