Should we restrict certain areas in big cities only for cyclists to avoid pollution and congestion?

Very good question. There are few countries that have cycle zones in place. However, they are mainly found in developed nations, that are aware of their environment and its easily implemented due to less population and traffic when compared to heavily populated countries. I am told its followed in Netherlands. Similarly, some nations like Singapore have thought of ideas out of the box, like allowing even and odd number registration cars on certain days ( I think, its done alternatively ) However, I must say, I am not sure if it is being implemented as such. There was a discussion about this. I would also say, Such policies can be implemented in countries that are not heavily populated and more importantly are environment conscious. Its only when everyone cares for the environment, you will tend to see majority participate in the larger interest of society.
