Capitalism has been forced on india thro' imf conditionalities in 1991 by the west. why have they not succeeded in the case of china?

China is a capitalist country in the guise of communism. Labour laws are more liberal and astrocities on labours are larger than India. In fact many Indian companies are establising their businesses in China for the sake of such liberal laws, which are completely aginst labours.

That is because the Chinese don't practice business models where they sell their family jewels in order to acquire liquid cash for the time being. Indians are notorious for this.

In China, they first did the GLF (Great Leap Forward) which was a massive Govt run industrialization programme. The purpose of this project was to find out which localities would adopt to commerce and which ones wouldn't. So only states and localities (in China) which passed the test was subject to "capitalism." The localities deemed unfit to adopt to capitalism continue on w/ their Socialist model till today even. Every 10 yrs or so, a locality deemed unfit 4 capitalism can appeal to a monitoring agency and if they pass, they get commerce and FDI and MNC activity. If they don't they don't. Simple as that.

If u do the same surveying in India, u will find out that localities like Punjab, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra would adopt well to commerce whereas localities like Chattisgarh, Madhya Pr ...more
