The animation industry in India is pegged to grow to $950 million by 2009. After the commercial success of the movie Hanuman, major animation players in the US are looking at India as a lucrative field. Of the aggregate revenue earned by animation in India, about 70 percent is thanks to outsourced work. The domestic market is nascent but has tremendous potential for growth.

Yes there is scope but still fresh graduates from top institutes offering animation can get a starting salary of only Rs. 10,000 in India. So will it grow or not. This is from personal experience and this offer is from a top Animation company in India, I don't want to name any company, but just a hint, remember Hanuman.
